Registry Ministry

United Methodist Women is starting a "Registry Ministry" for persons in our church & community who have no family in town.  This registry will provide contact and other vital information in case of emergency.  This will be available for the Pastor and any other personnel that you specify and should contain whatever information you wish.  Information will be kept in the church office and with UMW  Membership chairman and you will be responsible for keeping information updated.  Please give information to Rena Crisp or leave in the church office if you want to be included.  Information should have at least two contact names & phone numbers (including alternate numbers such as work or cell), and may include Dr.'s name, allergies, insurance info, Funeral home or other final arrangement requests...whatever you feel needs to be known in case of an emergency.

Ozarks Methodist Manor

The Methodist Manor has again invited us as a church to participate in their Christmas project - gifts for the residents in the Health Care center.  Please keep in mind they have more ladies than men.  Here is a list of suggestions:  stuffed animals, stamps, envelopes, stationary, ink pens, gloves, sweat shirts (all sizes), sweat pants (all sizes), warm cotton socks, house shoes (any size), scarves, cologne, lotions, kleenex, handkerchiefs, hair spray, combs, brushes, toothpaste, nail polish, emory boards, bath gels, large print magazines, large print books, crossword puzzles, large print calendars for 2009, necklaces, earrings, aftershave lotion, flannel pajamas, picture frames, afghans, paint by number, sacked candy, sugar free candy, and anything else you would like to send.  Items may be dropped off at the church Library.  Thank you for your participation in this ministry.

Nothing but Nets

Last year we donated funds to Nothing but Nets.  This money buys mosquito nets to cover people while they sleep in the malaria infested areas of Africa, protecting them from the mosquito's carrying malaria.  We will designate our funds to go to Mozambique and request that if possible, some of the nets go to Bethlehema United Methodist Church who is our partner church in Mozambique.  Donations will be collected from November 2 through November 16.  Thank you!   --Outreach Committee
