Planet Jesus

On the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sunday of each month, we have an energetic children's worship service designed for every child from K-6th grade.  We call this worship service Planet Jesus.  Planet Jesus parallels the adult service in many ways, it features praise & worship, prayer time, offerings, object lessons and illustrated sermons that each the Word of God.  Our services stay exciting to children by including puppets, skits, science, games and crafts to get kids on the move for God!  At Planet Jesus, you will find dedicated adults who lead kids by their example.

PJ Junior

Our PJ Junior class is for every child from four years - kindergarten.  PJ Junior is a time of fun and hands on exploration.  PJ Junior meets on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sunday of each month.

Sunbeam Service

Our Sunbeam Service meets on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sunday of each month for 2 & 3 year olds.  This is a special time for children which features Bible stories, puppets, praise & worship music and instruction of God's Word by caring teachers. 

Nursery

Babies are special at LUMC.  The nursery is open during worship services and Sunday School staffed by loving and caring workers.  For the convenience of our parents, we have a special room set aside for nursing mothers.

PJ Rewards

This is a system that is to encourage kids to live with God by coming to church, reading their Bible, giving to God and sharing Jesus with others.

Each week, children are given stamps for the following:

    1 stamp each for:

       Coming to Planet Jesus

       Each memory verse learned

       Bringing your Bible

       Bringing a visitor

       Bringing your offering

       Returning your Bible Bookmark

       Bringing your PJ stamp card

          (Daily Bible scriptures to read.)

Crossleaders

Planet Jesus also offers opportunities for ministry for 5th & 6th graders through Crossleaders, the praise & worship leaders for Planet Jesus.  They meet every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to practice

HOP-n-POP

(Hands of People, Puppets of Praise)

This is the puppet team of LUMC.  They perform for Planet Jesus, adult worship and many other local organizations.  This is for 5th graders and above.  They meet every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. to practice.

Bible Blitz

Bible Blitz is for grades 2, 3 & 4.  Bible Blitz gets kids into the Bible, and the Bible into kids.  Every Wednesday from 3-4:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center.  From 4:30-5:15 p.m. the kids have supervised free time.
